How to Christmas during the lockdown

It is going to be a very different kind of Christmas. There will be no pictures with Santa, no Stanley Park Christmas Train, and no gatherings with friends and family. On the bright side, we have Facetime/ Zoom and although it’s not the same – imagine if we didn’t have that. As a family of six (including Beans and Yondu) we are clear that we will be seeing a lot of one another.

Bake some festive treats

Christmas cakes, cupcakes, biscuits, pastries, breads, trifle, sweets – even the pudding itself; now is the time to get your festive baking game on. Dust off the old Christmas cookbook, look for recipes online, or for the most creative and original ideas, TikTok is obv your best bet 🙂

Have a festive filmathon

Nothing gets us in the Christmas spirit quite like a duvet day packed with festive films. Some of my faves, Home Alone, Love Actually, Elf, The Grinch, Frosty the Snowman and of course Die Hard.

Mix up some Christmas cocktails

Unleash your inner mixologist and whip up some Christmas tipples to enjoy for a night in with your support bubble or for a virtual Christmas party. If eggnog isn’t quite your thing, Wine goes with EVERYTHING
